Cost of timber
Just to inform people, the cost taken from Robbins price list of the various timbers we have been discussing is:
For one metre of 50x100 sawn (which planes down to 44x94) not including VAT @ 20% or transport,
Oak £21.55
Ash £11.53
Douglas £12.03
Western Red Cedar £15.04
Sitka Spruce £22.56
For comparison,
Obviously other people sell these timbers but the relative prices will still be true. Thus using ash for the inboard would save money as well as UHF.
